Dan Russo & His Orioles Feat Omar Van Speybroeck Saxophone - Willow Weep For Me c Spring 1933 by Radiodave78 published on 2020-03-27T01:42:54Z Take from a pile of Marsh lab library radio transcriptions, here are two tracks recorded in Chicago by Dan Russo's Orioles in December 1932 or early January 1933. These were made months after the bands last commercial recording date. I was fortunate enough to find several library radio transcription discs that were issued to radio stations only to play for fill music in between programs. I believe that these belonged to Mr. Russo at one point because names of soloists and vocalists are hand written on the labels and I believe he would have been the only person to know who was playing or singing what in the session. Also, the names jive with the personnel listed in the discographies. Enjoy!!! Comment by Outstream Records I thought I was tripping when I heard the rare altissimo screams. 2023-12-23T17:04:50Z Comment by Nemcvs Omer VanSpeybroeck is my husband's grandfather! Can we learn more how this recording was found? Also, is it possible to get the spelling of his first name corrected? Omer 2022-03-13T15:19:05Z
