Om Mani Padme Hum (full-lung version) by Mirror of Zen published on 2015-05-14T20:52:39Z "Om mani padme hum" (ॐ मणिपद्मे हूं) is an ancient Sanskrit 6-syllable mantra. It means "the jewel in the lotus." Chanting this before sitting practice or yoga allows the initial dust of thinking to drop away, exposing the no-shadow light of don’t-know, our original nature, the true Self. Not chanted in the head, or with the throat, but from the center, the lower-belly. The chant stretches the length of one full out-breath, making this version of the chant an excellent technique for attaining just-now mind very quickly and deeply. The length of the breath is not forced, but is watched, intently, especially at the end. The in-breath is also an important part of the chant. “Who is doing this? Who is doing this?” “What controls this breath?” Chants mastered and produced by Erik "Yogi" Moeller, of Zen House, Oslo, NO (http://zenleadership.no/musikk/). As part of a musical research project, I discovered Sunim's video "What is Zen?" and then his music. I would be very grateful if he made his music downloadable and gave permission to use it in scholarly research. The journey continues. 2016-09-03T12:58:15Z Comment by Pablo Bernardo (voylinux) Is there any way to find or pay for this recording to be able to listen to it offline?
