LOP GUEST MIX SERIES 014: MR. ANDERSON by LOTS OF PRACTICE published on 2022-02-22T21:44:00Z Chris's love for dance grooves and deep, soulful sounds can be traced all the way back to his Nebraska farmhouse upbringing in 1995. The first album he can remember buying with his own money (Eric Champion's 'Vertical Reality') tells the story of a hacker hiding in an underground network from government control while the rest of society lives in a virtual world akin to The Matrix, but a full 5 years ahead of that film. Chris's interest in technology and music grew over the years and after buying his first drum set at the age of 24, while also working as a systems engineer, his trajectory was cemented. Living in Boston during this time, Chris gigged extensively with bands of all types covering the spectrum between progressive rock, metal, jazz fusion, latin, surf rock, and country. However it wasn't until a trip to Mykonos in 2019 where Chris finally reconnected with his dance music roots. He caught the house music bug that led him to taking the red pill... buying a controller and starting the deep dive into the underground. Chris relocated to LA that same year and has continued honing his skills as a DJ through numerous recorded mixes, livestreams, house parties, and weekend gigs. Genre Electronic
