NOVA, is a classically trained vocalist ranging in the styles of music (both live and electronic as well as fusion) classical, blues music, funk, jazz, rock n roll, garage, metal, punk, dub and reggae. Growing up, Natalie was classically trained singing and spent most of her time working and playing as a lead singer in different live bands and projects based in Los Angeles. Recently, Natalie has collaborated on backing vocals in a project with musicians such as "Slash," (and more) for a new rendition of a Sufi-Rock song and a "featured artist" in the music video coming out soon.
As a producer, vocalist and DJ, NOVA focuses primarily on mixing bass heavy, yet melodic music and rhythms incorporated with message-based lyrics. As a bass music enthusiast, she brings endless amounts of energy and light to the audience which comes natural while the selection of high-energy music takes you on a journey and most definitely guaranteed to get your body moving. Styles very versatile ranging from the genres of dub, fusion, liquid, hip hop, drum n' bass, glitch, grime, hip hop, future bass, world music, industrial, and more incorporating live vocals and most all-original music sets.
Has played and produced shows based in Northern California and has played in festivals and events such as South By South West (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, Santa Cruz Music Festival, Art Basel in Miami and more. NOVA has shared the stage with artists such as Opiuo, Bluetech, Buku, Filibusta, 6Blocc, Formless Heights, ANA SIA, Unlimited Gravity, Loom In Essence, Madam Bliss, Mixtress Shazam, Warp 9, Spoken Bird, Mumukshu and more.
Other aliases include: The Cosmic Crusader, Natalie Nova, and NEBULA. As well as fronts a metal band called Beyond The Roots.
