V. Warren Vince Warren New York City Vince Warren has an unconventional music trajectory. Although mostly known as a nationally-recognized human rights lawyer as the director of the Center for Constitutional Rights, Vince is also a New York-based composer and instrumentalist whose musical style is deeply immersed in jazz, funk and is often influenced by classical genres. His music has been described as ranging from haunting to luminous. His most recent score for the award-winning film “Bruiser”premiered at the Sundance and SXSW Film Festivals in 2021, and is the second collaboration with his son, filmmaker Miles Warren. Vince's first score was for the Hopi filmmaker, Victor Masayesva's Imagining Indians (1992). Vince has collaborated with a variety of Malian instrumentalists, including Makane Kouyate, Yacouba Sissoko and Balla Kouyaté, and has performed regularly at the legendary Shrine venue in Harlem, NY. For many years Vince played with West African influenced jazz and funk bands, including Denbaya and Il Collettivo. Whether through music or social justice, Vince believes that if you have a storyteller, an activist and a lawyer you can change the world. V. Warren’s tracks Silver Bullet by V.
