She originally hails from Western Canada where her musical background was traditional country and 50s rockabilly / rock 'n' roll, with her favourite artists being Elvis Presley, Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly, Lefty Frizzell, Johnny Horton, Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Wynn Stewart, Hank Snow, Anita Carter, Jean Shepard, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Kitty Wells, Waylon Jennings, David Houston.... you get the picture. In addition to her own music, Tracey K. also performs a Loretta Lynn tribute 'Hey Loretta, The Girl From Butcher Holler", and recorded a Loretta tribute album, "Salute to Loretta Lynn", which garnered high praise from Loretta herself. A former long-haul trucker, she still occasionally does some freelance truck driving when she's needed for some special truck runs.
