Sons Command
“In less than a year, Sons Command has written and recorded a handful of high-energy songs, including Gimme a Beer, Hell Ya and Go For a Ride.”-Lynn Saxberg, The Ottawa Citizen (The age of "Bros": Fist pumps and party anthems is making country the new rock 'n' roll, December 28, 2014)
Since Sons Command's first radio release in January 2015, singer/songwriter/producer, Sal Piamonte, recent winner for song of the year in L.A.’s West Coast International Songwriting Competition, and who’s music was recently chosen and featured nationally during TSN’s nationally televised broadcast of the 2015 World Junior Hockey Championships, has been working at a feverish pace building the follow up music to capitalize on the great impace that Sons Command made on the Canadian Country Music scene in his first year. The first single, “Go For A Ride,” cracked the BDS Top 100 in Canada and stayed there for more than 11 weeks, and in addition to ongoing internet radio success, it hit position #1 on the MaxInkRadio’s BS Live Rocks Top 7 Indie Countdown, as well reaching position #3 on Nashville’s Music Road Radio Top 30 New Artist Country Countdown. Another single, “Gimme A Beer,” is also rocketed to position #3 on the Nationally Syndicated and influential Top 40 "The Iceman's" New Artist Country chart on the US based Best Country Radio. Sons Command's video, "Gimme A Beer," shot and directed by Kim Vincent at Ravenstone Productions, was also featured by CMT, and Sons Command received the honour of headlining several key shows including Canada Day and Ribfest in the Nation's Capital, as well as performing a rooftop performance in Kamloops, BC as part of the Country 103 VIP event.
In less than a year, Sons Command released 2 Top 100 singles to Canadian radio, shot a video featured on CMT, and toured across Canada. Not bad for a short time's work! With the end of 2015 nearing, Sons Command is poised to wow their new fan base as well as Country Music Listeners with a more modern, edgier follow up to their County Music introduction. Details Coming Soon!!!
Much like Sons Command’s sudden appearance on the scene, the first official radio single, “Go For A Ride,” is all about living in and seizing the moment, hitting the road, and chasing a dream. It’s about acting on a spark of inspiration, and following one’s heart. It’s the story of venturing into an uncertain future with nothing but heart and talent, ready to take a stand and fight for a dream, rather than to sit idle and stay parked in one spot.
“Lookin’ back, rearview mirror, the past is small but the future’s bigger,
No turnin’ back, our bags are packed, saddle up no one likes a quitter.”-Sons Command (Go For A Ride)
Put yer’ shades on, the Sons comin’ up.
