Son E.Gibs
Son E. Gibs is a French-American musician who has lived in the southern states and shares his time between his two countries.
Music has accompanied every stage of his life since his childhood and he has grown up with history and culture of the south, blues, Rock and Southern way of life.
He performed with a few bands, in bars and local joints for a few bucks, and worked in studio with some of them, a journey from Clarksdale and Memphis to the Garage Studio in Chicago, always working hard music managing career and music as far as possible.
Several gigs and several songs from other people, even if the path was marked with surprising and wonderful meetings.
Then came the decision to write his own songs, to tell his own stories.
The decision came as he walked alone on the old cotton line railroad in Clarksdale, thinking about all the gentle ghosts who haunted this town, fathers of Blues, Soul and Rock n’ roll, from Memphis to the Bayou. This LP is a humble homage to all those big hearted people and musicians.
For example Mississippi slow train, Black Hobo are songs about Clarksdale, about Robert Johnson and the Delta, Swamp Gator about his Alligator Elvis, in the Bayou…
Ground zero is an homage to the Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale.
The LP Ways to Clarksdale was proudly released in 2021 with a wonderful band and big sound engineer JB in Hesat Recordings.
A new EP is going on and will be on release in may 2022.
May the journey just be getting started for Son, and thank you to all who have helped him and supported him along the way.
Keep it blue Y'all!!!

Keep it blue Y'all!!!
