Lori Peek is professor of sociology and director of the Natural Hazards Center at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her first book is called Behind the Backlash: Muslim Americans after 9/11. Her co-authored book with Alice Fothergill is titled Children of Katrina. After Hurricane Katrina, she was part of a 12 member collective that studied displaced persons after Katrina.
