Lunar sky: Electronic music, minimal techno, techno, house, deep house, chill out…
Liège Belgium,
Christophe Kempeneers, alias Lunar Sky for over 30 years with a passion for electronic music.
As a teenager, his ears bathed in Punk, new wave, acid, electronic atmospheres… made him want to create his own music.
Lucky enough to have a rock guitarist father, he was able to feel a series of material and make the first sounds with, for example, a "Dynachord" echo chamber with magnetic tape, analog distortion, organ, analog reverb ...
The sounds were sometimes very "psyche", and fat !! He liked it !!! It’s from this moment that passion begins.
Contemporary artists were of great influence such as, The Cure, Human league, Depeche Mode, Visage,, Giorgio Moroder, Aphex Twin, ORB, Chemical Brothers, Moby ...
As soon as it was possible, the purchase of the first rhythm boxes, and Bass line box starts the collection of a whole series of instruments (synth, effect, sampler, guitar…), and allowed him to create hundreds of tracks until today, some of which have been labeled:
For example:
-Lunar Sky - Utopia (Original Mix) KP Recordings
-Lunar Sky - Lasts Seconds (Original Mix) Freaky troopers
-Lunar Sky - Lounge (Original Mix) Freaky troopers
-Lunar Sky - Digix (Original mix) Sublatir
He shared posters with artists such as, Alexander Robotnick, Joost de lijser, SPARKLING, THOMAS ATZMANN, INTRO_P ...
Lunar Sky has performed on various stages in Liège, such as, the night of the hills, kollectif bunker, NoName festival, the Kultura, Barge Légia, Madelu Tv, 48fm, Cupper café, Bad station, Justice de l'Ouffet ...
(Labels: KP Recordings, Freaky troopers, Sublatir, Uledam Records)
Always with a melodious touch, he likes to mix space and sometimes very fat electronic sounds with more acoustic sounds.
From the start, Lunar sky has become accustomed to this musical and technical passion, and unconsciously developing its way of doing, both live and in studio, "Full Hardware" ...
