[Preview] All Time Low (Dubstep Remix) by LuisCDH published on 2011-06-12T18:38:32Z This one I started it like 3 months ago after hearing an amateur dubstep remix of this song (from Araboza in Youtube) which I liked a lot and since the original song is basically an "acapella" (with a pretty cool string section behind) I decided to give it a shot myself. Took me a few days to get it to this state and Im uploading it now because last week I learned how to improve my song's RMS a bit because it was really terrible before. I changed from FL Studio to Ableton Live at the time of making this and I think this was actually the first proyect I made after getting the hang of it a bit, but Im still fairly new to this software (and I have to admit Ill probably never go back to FL after this hehe). Used Massive to create the "wob" I think Im improving on wobmaking if you compare this to my old proyects but Im still tweaking and tweaking trying to find a sound I really (really) like >_> Original Song: The Wanted - All Time Low (Edited to use only the semi-acapella "voice+strings" parts as samples). (Note: In case you want to check out Araboza's remix here it is uploaded from another user: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KASmuRP3Fpk || I dont know what happened to the original video of Araboza's remix, it used to have a few thousand views and a lot of comments but I cant find it anymore :/) Some notes about my 'proyects': - These are my little creations out of boredom or inspiration, but mainly a mix of the two xD - From this point on, I use Ableton Live 8.1 for everything except editing (which I use Adobe Audition 3.0 for), and some samples are my own guitar recording using Reaper. - Ignore the silly titles, it's just the first thing that came to my mind when I was making them or listening to them after 'finishing'. Either that or the name of the original sample/loop/song from where I started in the case of a Remix. - The sound quality is lame, I know it, Im definitely a complete beginner when it comes to actually "making" good sounds on DAWs but Im trying to improve as I go (which means 90% or so of the sounds you hear are made from scratch or tweaked somehow by me, or at least the ones that sound horrible are definitely mine lol). Mixing & pre-mastering should also be redone on most songs and that's something Im aiming to do as I go when I learn more things about this. - All my songs are "Works In Progress", someday I might finish them but usually I just have a bunch of WIPs and never finish them just move on to the next lol. - Yes, I tend to type too much. Without more to add that I remember, I hope you enjoy! Constructive criticism is ALWAYS welcome & appreciated.
