She was born and raised in Malawi, South Eastern Africa and currently resides on Bowen Island. Her music is an eclectic mix of hip hop, afro pop and the distinct sound of her native village.
Inspired by underground hip hop, at the age of 13 she began composing music of her own. She crafted beats using percussive objects in her immediate surroundings including tables, spoons and sticks. Her lyrics reflected her day-to-day experience and the challenges of being a female hip hop artist in Malawi. For Pace, music began as a catalyst for self-expression and matured into a means of advocating for women and children’s rights. In 2017 she emerged as the first Malawian woman to record a hip-hop album entitled Nkazi Moto. The album is inspired by female Chief Kachinda Moto, internationally known for her fight against childhood marriage.
