D R E A M I N G by jscottrakozy published on 2014-10-21T19:41:17Z So this piece was written probably back in April or so for my wonderfully brilliant high school choir director, Darcy Reese, and her choir production that she pours all her heart and soul into. So she asked me to write a few songs for the production and this was one of my favorites that I wrote for her. I don't really recollect how long it took me to write this, probably a week? Maybe less than that? I'm not entirely sure, but the final product introduces a voice-over talking about the preciousness of the world and about us...if memory serves me right. Anyway, it was just extremely beautiful. This piece I started using synth pads from the Kontakt library to emulate that ambient vibe found in a lot of Tony Anderson's work. In addition to that I love the use of the 8dio 1928 Legacy Steinway grand piano. It just has this exquisite quality to the sound. And then of course I used the cello patch from EWQL Symphonic Gold and the african choirs from Logic Pro X for the choir segment. Anyway, enjoy.
