Moonballad (Toxic Daisies cover) by jon lock published on 2020-05-09T18:56:32Z I wrote what's below before Mahan put up, for public, the original. Here it is: https://soundcloud.com/mahan-mahan/moonballad-toxic-daisies?in=mahan-mahan/sets/jon-lock-vs-mahan-mahan I few weeks ago I heard this track https://soundcloud.com/mahan-mahan/disco-junkies-1-1-1 and was just floored, mostly by that bass line. Anyway after https://soundcloud.com/mahan-mahan and I had enjoyed each others music and exchanged some ideas and pleasantries Mahan came to me with the Idea of me covering a song by his former band The Toxic Daisies. I think he'll post the original as a public track again but for now the link he provided to me is private. The original is from the 90's(I think) and in a punk/grunge style. I shifted it into a sort of 60's pop and altered the harmonies just a bit but stayed true, for the most part to the original chords, arraignment, tempo and tried to use the exact lyrics as I heard them. It's a wonderful song and a couldn't be more flattered that Mahan asked me to recreate it. Genre Indie Comment by learningtoplay Yeah, a great song, alright. Fabulous chords and lyrics and love the feeling you've put into your wonderful cover. 2021-01-04T11:55:55Z Comment by Dag Olav Hermundstad Brilliant singing!!! Nice song, fantastic performed!
