Alloy by jeremyvanb published on 2013-05-16T14:03:31Z Alloy (Metal Etude No. 2) – The process of making an alloy involves combining different types of metal to create a material with new properties. In Alloy, I joined the sounds of metal percussion, metal piano strings, and heavy metal music to create a music that displays elements of each and also has a make up of its own. This is the second in a series of pieces exploring the mixture of the heavy metal music I loved in my youth with the electroacoustic music I write today. The first more overtly references heavy metal music. Alloy takes a more subtle approach. The most obvious reference comes when the energy of the piece is at it's highest point.
