I Am The Law From the ashes of Brosevelt, perhap xington history to play one show an Lexington After the dear departure of Kurt Henderson, Brosevelt was left rudderless. Eventually, local savant, Special Mack, decided to give direction to the drifting Russ Caldwell and Anthony Taylor. After a few tentative practices in Russ' apartment the band grew confident. Soon feeling the need for a grander, more heroic sound, Special recruited local chancers Josh Ayala, Dalyn Jones and Andrew Powell, all friend of friends. Soon the band was in full swing with a power and swagger that would make Zeus himself blush with envy. Then, as if from an episode of Behind the Music, trouble soon hit. Russ being the multi-talented genius he is, was spread too thin and eventually had very little time in his schedule for the group. Left with a hard decision, Russ chose to exit the group. The split was amicable. The band found themselves without a practice space and was desperate. After spirited soliciting on Facebook for a practice space, out of nowhere came Mike Dodson, local scene maker, offering his comfy, furnished shed as a practice space. And with that, the band's next practice became their most productive yet, recording two demos of songs in a haze of Country Club malt liquor.
