Danny
Warwickshire
Musician, Producer, Remixer, DJ.
Before he was tweaking in the studio Danny started his musical expedition as a musician at the age of eight as a drummer. He performed at Wembley arena in the DCI (Drum Corp International) championships gaining third place and was playing semi-professionally in bands, playing many genres including Blues, Funk, Reggae, Punk, and eventually played for Motown Soul legend Edwin Starr. He also began playing piano/keyboards and writing and composing at an early age, developing his compositional and production techniques.
Danny’s interest in dance music started after outings to clubs and venues such as, Venus, Chuff Chuff, Moneypenny’s, Wobble, Better days and Decadence. Looking for a new challenge through his new-found love of dance music he decided to invest in a pair of SL1210’s and master the art of DJing and mixing. During this time a mutual friend introduced Danny to John Graham (Quivver) who had just signed to Paul Okenfold’s perfecto label, John invited Danny to his studio and they soon became friends Djing regularly together.
With his extensive experience as a musician Danny quickly transferred this musical experience into his Djing, obtaining several residences in and around his hometown. His DJing style of US house and garage with an abstract slant saw him perform alongside DJ Alfredo, Rocky and Diesel (X-Press 2) Quivver, Brandon Block, Alex P, Nicky Holloway, Alistair Whitehead, Jon Da Silva, and Dave Morales at The Ministry of Sound, The Cue Club, Deluxe, Herbal and Eden (Ibiza) as well as Djing on a Mixmag tour and winning a Red/Vestax sponsored regional DJ final. In the 90’s Danny worked and recorded at Bang-in Tunes with D&B producer Neil Trix. The acclaimed ‘Urban Visions Vol 1’ which was released on Bang-in Tunes, incorporated Danny’s Jazz influenced production and Neil’s Drum and Bass sensitivity. Working alongside Neil, Danny learnt the skills of sound engineering and put together his own studio and released a four-track EP as Clone Communicardo.
At the start of the millennium Danny secured roles on the corporate side of the music industry, working at EMI records as national accounts manager and then in London working at Amato distribution - as their UK pre-sales manager. After working in the music industry in several capacities Danny felt it was time to put some qualifications to the experience he had gained as a Musician, DJ, Producer and business manager. In 2003 he undertook a three year bachelors of Arts degree in music composition and professional practice and graduated with a first class honours degree.
