PREMIERE: Farron - Bratanic Surfers [VOITAX] by definite party material / ian dpm published on 2021-04-16T11:50:04Z With the VOI025 VOITAX welcomes an ambitious music lover from the south of Germany that has been a relentless contributor to the world of electronic music – Farron. He left his first footprints on Ilian Tape already back in 2009 under his previous moniker LaChriz, followed by further releases on Woods ‘N Bass Records, Out-ER, and Baud Music. His label Shaw Cuts, founded in 2015, was a milestone for the artist and was also responsible for Farron, the artist’s latest and most fruitful solo alias. Since the label’s genesis, we have seen the artist and label go from strength to strength – both amassing a very credible catalogue! Alongside the announcement of his freshly created platform, Farron also managed to land more releases on Forbidden Planet, Renascene, XCPT and Subosc. Marking Voitax’s 25th release »Venice Pavilion«, Farron delivers a beautiful blend of electronics that straddle the lines between jungle, IDM, electro, and techno. The A-Side kicks off with rough breaks, moody Reese basses, and fast footwork rhythms that crown the EP with its very own sparkling character – modern jungle topped with dystopian pads and pressing basslines are perfectly melted into the break-fuelled ride. The flip side doesn’t cool things down – fluid drum patterns and hammering toms are continually chased by dramatic synths, with a constant weight brought to the table by the chunky low ends. The energy is maintained throughout, as jungle and electro live side by side in harmony in the track list before the release is brought to an emotional halt with a classy ambient piece. @lachriz @voitax Genre Electronic Comment by ROW92 GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD🛐🔥 2022-09-08T21:28:20Z Comment by Lindenberg Support ! 2021-04-17T12:01:32Z
