Saves a lot of time on BS filler 2021-10-16T13:00:45Z Comment by rawrdinosaurkat Can you please sin Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny? Thanks! 2021-10-13T15:04:08Z Comment by CirrusMinor Hey Jeremy, Coda is a remake of a French film! La Famille BĂ©lier. Go check it out. 2021-10-13T14:02:53Z Comment by CirrusMinor Any dialog scene between Tony and Carmella is perfectly written and performed. Those were the highlights of the show for me, all the way through. She has a way of calling him out on his bullshit that is just incredibly satisfying, in a show about a guy whose toxic masculinity goes pretty much unchecked otherwise. 2021-10-13T13:50:43Z Comment by CirrusMinor That whole sequence with Adriana telling Chris about the FBI and the drive that ensues, has commentary from the actress on the DVD/Blu-Ray, and it's really cool to hear her talk about it. It's the hardest part of the series to watch for me, so i find it's nice to hear about how she experienced it. Van Zandt was being too gentle with her, so she told him that she wasn't made of cotton and he could act more firmly. It seems to have been difficult to film. 2021-10-13T13:48:20Z Comment by CirrusMinor I'll say the first 3 seasons of Sopranos are very solid stuff, but it starts to spread thin afterwards, for lack of a will to make the characters evolve. Then the show establishes a cycle of introducing a new character (to the audience, even though they try to shoehorn them as people everybody knows), making them collaborate with Tony, then pissing him off some way and ending up killed. At some point, it became obvious they had to add more and more characters because Tony kills everybody around him too fast. 2021-10-13T13:24:30Z Comment by Will R I had to go watch that Lambo getting rear ended after Jeremy talked about it. And now I'm dying to know if he saw the update on that! Turns out Chris would probably hate that Lambo guy... the girl still mishandled that, but her words make more sense 2021-10-13T03:08:22Z Comment by @cyclosophy This talk of movies/shows avoiding the use of speech reminds me of the "Hush" episode of Buffy. That was pretty clever. 2021-10-12T07:27:03Z Comment by TheycallmeMr.Pibb Barrett after listening to your rant it's clear you never had the makings of a varsity athlete. 2021-10-11T20:02:45Z Comment by Dan Harvey I saw the trailer for this and thought it was another spin on the Battle Royale type movie 2021-10-11T14:10:21Z Comment by Dumahim Hearing about this reminded me of where I grew up and hearing rumors of a cult just north of town (Pine City, MN). A friend had a bit of a fling with a girl from there and I thought it must have been a small-time thing and went away not long after that. Just looked it up, nope. 150 people, leader accused of raping young girls (thankfully after my friend's girl's time) and looks like the guy wasn't captured and brought back (fled to Brazil) until a few years ago. 2021-10-11T13:59:54Z Comment by Will Kostick I watched all of Sopranos earlier this year, having never seen much of any of it before, and like Barrett said, found that as awesome as it is, it's not a good show to binge watch. For me, it's more that all the r-rated content would get under my skin if I watched more than one episode at a time. 2021-10-11T12:39:24Z Comment by Dan Harvey Season 2 Episode 1 is when they go in the hatch - the cliffhanger at the end of Season 1 is them opening the hatch, so Season 2 begins with that same moment from Desmonds POV 2021-10-11T12:23:00Z Comment by Dan Harvey I've watched Lost a good number of times and can tell you categorically that, yes they did do that, mainly because each episode was focussed around a different character - so sometimes it could come back to the same moment at the end of the following episode as their stories intertwined. 2021-10-11T12:20:59Z
