Ask Me Who I am - Bill by Bill Javier published on 2020-06-21T14:28:57Z I was inpired by a movie called "Overcomer" and from Ephesians 1. Ephesians 1:3-14. In this passage, Paul addresses the church in Ephesus, explaining the new identity given to a person when they are in Christ. According to Ephesians 1, we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing; we have been chosen, adopted, redeemed, forgiven, grace-lavished and unconditionally loved and accepted. We are pure, blameless and forgiven. We have received the hope of spending eternity with God. When we are in Christ, these aspects of our identity can never be altered by what we do. It's about how we identify ourselves in this world. If asked about myself I might respond by saying, “I am a worker, a business man, a son to my father?.” But the truth is, none of those are who I “am.” More correctly, they are roles I have chosen to try and fulfill. Do you know who you truly are when all is stripped away? It is easy to say you have a business, you are a father, or anything. Those are just titles or roles. If the titles or roles were all stripped away, who would you be? Think about this. Get to the root of who you are. You need to know this to stay grounded. So from this song I just want to remind us that we born to this world because God Create us. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God – children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” (John 1:1-2). What is the answer? If people asking you , Who are you? What Your Identity? The answer is summed up in this phrase: “You are God’s child". This is the lyrics: Verse 1 : Ask me who I am I am saved By your grace Ask me who I am I am created By a miracle Chorus : You're my God I am your child I know who i am Keep believe in You Yes I am Verse 2 : Ask me who I am I'm alive By your perfect love Ask me who I am I am created By a miracle Bridge : 4x Even I don't feel you Even I don't see you I trust in you https://youtu.be/wpUc-YGNy2 Genre Religion & Spirituality
