Anna Arkushyna
Graz
Anna Arkushyna was born 1989 in Lutsk, Ukraine. Graduated from Kyiv Special Music College in 2009 (Music Theory department, Composition-class by prof. Alla Zagaykevych) and from National Music Academy of Ukraine in 2014 (Composition-class by prof. Yevhen Stankovych). In 2017 she completed the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (Composition-class by prof. Beat Furrer). Since 2015 till 2019 Anna was student at the IEM Graz, class by prof. Marko Ciciliani and prof. Daniel Mayer. Since 2020 she is a student of composition-class by prof. Franck Bedrossian in the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.
Anna is participant in workshops of composition by P. Billone, A. Posadas, C. Iannotta, G. Staebler, S. Newski, M. Andre,
R. Cendo, A. V. Gorne, J. Reis, also took lessons with D. Kourliandski, C. Bauckholt, S. Gervasoni.
She is finalist of the composer's competition “Step to the Left-4” (St.-Petersburg, 2011), third-price-winner of the “Pre-art composer’s competition” in Switzerland (2017). Anna was also finalist of the “Ö1-Talentebörse Kompositionspreis 2020” in Austria. In 2021 she was awarded with "Musikförderungspreis der Stadt Graz". She was selected for the Cursus Program on Composition and Computer Music 2022/2023 in IRCAM, Paris.
Her music is widely performed during the many festivals and projects in Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Holland, Austria, Croatia, Chile, Mexico, Lithuania, Japan, Slovakia, Switzerland by ensemble Musikfabrik, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Modern, Airborne Extended, Cantando Admont, Nostri Temporis, Amsterdam Collage Ensemble, Ensemble Spectrum, Kwartludium, Pre-Art-Solisten, MozArt Sinfonietta Salzburg and many others.
