Hot for Teacher (This Alice) / Spoken Word / Improv by C. Renee Kiser published on 2020-11-26T15:47:55Z Spoken word by C. Renee Kiser The bell rings- You got me hung, teach, for a while on a kind of darkness I'd only seen in movies And I thought I knew + The Dark + so well But I didn't know NOTHING, till I met you You'd write Love on the blackboard - backwards And I'd shrug it off as a joke- You were that fun teacher with jokes I laughed all the way to the madhouse I kept getting bad grades on purpose So I could get spanked Yeah, I was hot for teacher But like school, you'd rarely say something true - Lies became the lesson You taught me to forget myself- To know the Devil is alive and kicking (inside me) To forget myself - so that I can remember THAT'S THE GAME We are the blueprints +++ Seems I'm always drifting asleep in class, Falling down that damn rabbit hole But {this Alice} is the one who knows what's up Seems I always end up in the principal's office Cause I'm not gonna paint those roses red But... the course ended and I graduated w/ honors Teach taught me how to burn, How to walk through flames like a goddamn angel, How to repair my wings, how to purify my soul, How to choose + Light + Because I'd finally seen the darkest corners of myself (mirrored to me), How to blow the dust off the blueprint ©RaVenGhost Press 2020 Photo credit: CRK by JTG 2020 #shadowwork Genre Confessional Comment by NYLON DOGG Very cool.
